Equinox adds Bangor Public Library to PaILS SPARK Consortium
07/27/2017

DULUTH, Ga., July 27, 2017 -- Equinox is pleased to announce that they have successfully migrated the Bangor Public Library to Evergreen within the PaILS SPARK Consortium.

This move includes more than 12,000 patron records and over 25,000 bibliographic records.  For the migration, Equinox performed the bibliographic data extraction and deduplication, policy configuration, project management, and training services.  As part of the SPARK consortium, Bangor is hosted and supported by Equinox on their industry leading Sequoia platform.

“In our consortium, we view migrations as a collaboration between the library, PaILS, and Equinox. We were on-site at Bangor on their Go Live, and Equinox solved every issue that came up literally within minutes. In the weeks following Go Live, they remained open and responsive and helped to soothe the migration jitters.”- Scott Thomas, Executive Director PaILS/SPARK

“We do a lot of migrations but each is a unique project to me. This one was a pleasure to work on. The Bangor staff were wonderful to work with and, while every migration is a big transition, I'm also thrilled to see how they can be transformative for the services at each library."- Rogan Hamby, Equinox Data and Project Analyst
