Double (and a half) Trouble
With the holidays, new year, vacations, travel, and the attendant digging out from said, I let slip my duty to brag about all the awesome (and often under-appreciated) work that my Equinox coworkers did during our last two (and a half) community days in December and January. Sorry, folks! But work they did, and brag I will, without further ado.
- Steve Callender submitted improvements for two bugs, one to clarify the description of a global flag and the other to improve hold notification for patron placed holds.
- Dale Rigney diagnosed a problem with the diacritics selection popup in the MARC editor.
- Grace Dunbar did some coordination of community development projects.
- Erica Rohlfs continued reorganizing the wiki to help the Web Team decide what to attack next. She also tested and confirmed a bug in ACQ receiving and worked with Jason Etheridge on a backdating issue.
- Jason spent a good bit of time answering some questions on OPEN-ILS-GENERAL.
- After helping a library go live on Evergreen today, Galen Charlton wrote a blog post on how to make Git highlight small changes, and worked on some patches to start adding PostgreSQL support to Koha:
- Angela Kilsdonk committed a big pile of end-user documentation for the following features to the Evergreen repository:

- Alternate Holds Pick-up Location
- Mark Item Long Overdue
- Patron Self Registration
- Default Values for Item Import
- Lost and Long Overdue Bill Colors
- Disable Patron Credit in Billing Interface
- Sorting Money Columns in Billing Interface

moved tested Dan Scott’s move of some example seed data out of the base install and into a sample data set. [UPDATED: my apologies to Dan Scott. The linked bug ticket makes it clear that Dan did the moving, and Bill did the testing.]
January 2014 (Two days!)
Due to the new year break, and the need to catch up from vacations, we decided to do two short community days in January, on the 9th and the 16th. Lots of great stuff was spread out over those (and surrounding) days:
